1/4 Scale Pacesetter Vintage Sprint Car
|
Sold for $5300 Las Cruces, NM, This is a Very Rare piece of ¼ Scale R/C History. Very Collectable in the ¼ Scale Market. Don’t Miss Out on adding this to your collection. It is NEW! Never Run! It is in perfect working condition! Pacesetter was started by an exceptionally talented pioneer of 1/4 scale named Jeff Schmidt. The first car was designed in 1979 and was his 60's style sprint car. This was the first quarter scale RC car ever put into production by anyone. Pacesetter was 3-4 years ahead of the competition contrary to how most people believe that Raco and WCM were the first! I purchased this car new in kit form complete with engine radio and starter. Some of the options that were ordered at the time of purchase were real hime ends for the suspension and the spun aluminum wheels. Bumpers, roll bar, and exhaust were custom fabricated. The engine is a OS Max BX 1 that has never been started. The custom paint was done by Shaw Hot Rods. Hand painted as one of the most identifiable Cars of the 1960’s. AJ Foyt’s Championship winning Sheraton Thompson Special. No Decals. As you can see it is Outstanding!! Including the detailed dashboard and instruments and 3D upholstery. The Vintage Futaba Radio Controls are Model FP-T 2f they also are in New working condition. Pacesetter cars have always looked fantastic over the years. The 60's style sprint car is an amazing work of art and housed the very first quick change rear end in 1/4 scale history. Every car in the Pacesetter lineup is very desirable! I have started the auction at close to what I have into the car at 1979 prices. With the addition of the cost of the beautiful paint job! The Size of the Car is 37" Long 20" @ the rear tread and 13" to the top of the rollbar. It weighs aprox 26 Lbs. |
